I suspect that if Magical-Dawg had his own door, he'd spend a great deal more time outside. Many puppies would. It must be frustrating to our dogs to have to wait around for their human to play doorman and open/shut the gate for them.
Yes, there are pet doors available. Too often, though, a pet door not only lets your puppy easy access to the back yard, it also invites critters into your home. That can result in dangerous animal attacks .
