Nestlé Purina PetCare Company has announced a voluntary recall of Waggin' Train and Canyon Creek Ranch dog treat products until further notice. This time, no salmonella is involved and the foods are not dangerous to your puppy, but are being recalled more as a technical issue.
Instead, the treats tested positive for antibiotics commonly used in poultry food in China (and said to be harmless to pets). These antibiotic additives are not allowed in the US market and technically make the treats "adulterated."
