This week I received a phone call from a friend asking about tips for introducing a dog to a new baby. Silly me, I referred them to this site--and then realized I'd not yet published an article about how to introduce babies and pups until now!
It's important for expectant Mom's and family members to take into account the pet's feelings about having a newcomer into the home. Certainly we take steps to properly introduce dogs to new dogs. But because infants are so very different, it's important to understand how your puppy thinks and ways you can keep your baby safe while helping the pair build a strong relationship for the years to come.
You'll also find this article on introducing toddlers and older kids to puppies helpful, particularly with the holidays coming up and potential visits on the horizon. Believe it or not, puppies may object to your new boyfriend, too, so check out these tips for introductions to strangers.

Good information! I have a 15-month old granddaughter who will be visiting soon. I’ll be sure to put your ideas to work so Sage will not feel as threatened.
Thanks, glad the information is helpful.
