DWAA LogoI'm a longtime member of the Dog Writers Association of America (DWAA) and am proud to have been named one of the winners in the 2012 annual dog writing competition. The ceremony was held at the Affinia Manhattan Hotel in New York City on Sunday, February 12, 2012.

Entries include work from book authors, columnists, bloggers, broadcasters, and club publications, and the competition is fierce from these dog-savvy journalists. The press materials say this year there were several hundred submissions vying for the coveted Maxwell Medallion in a variety of categories. This year my radio show PET PEEVES and an article published in Your Dog newsletter (a Tufts University publication) were nominated, as was THIS SITE, Puppies.About.com.Maxwell Medallion

The winner in each category is chosen from among the nominees and presented with the prestigious Maxwell Medallion. I am very pleased and proud to announce that Puppies.About.com has won the coveted Maxwell Medallion, shown here, as the Best Website of 2012! Arooooooooooooooooooo....Puppies rule--can you see my virtual tail a-wagging? *s* A complete list of winners may be found at www.dwaa.org.
