Bass in snowCan frostbite affect your baby dog? Absolutely! As winter weather steadily becomes colder, people AND their pets can suffer from the chill. While hypothermia refers to the whole body falling below a normal temperature, frostbite affects the extremities. On your puppy, that's the ear tips, tail, toes and (ahem) scrotum for boy dogs.

That means little Bass in the picture, playing in the snow, could get his nether regions injured if he's not careful. Lucky for him, his owner is a vet and knows all the proper precautions!

The latest article details exactly what happens with frostbite, along with first aid tips. Of course, you can avoid the bluster of winter dangers for puppies altogether by taking precautions with these cold weather tips.
