First Aid for Hot Spots

Have you ever seen a hot spot? Do you know what it is? An untreated hot spot can grow 20 times larger in single day. And for some reason, Golden Retrievers are affected most often.

These moist, painful skin infections get their start from a skin irritation often from the bite of a tick or a flea. When the puppy's fur is thick, the sore can grow underneath the coat hidden from sight until very large.
